Geist made from dried elder-flowers growing near our orchards.
An old Czech saying goes, “Raise your hat to a linden, kneel before an elder.”
European elder (or black elder, Sambucus nigra) is one of the most abundant shrubs around. Its flowers are used for a popular syrup summers cannot do without. And we gathered them and distilled another delicacy for our series of unconventional specialties.
The resulting product is the pure essence of elder-flowers, recommended to be served at a temperature of 18 °C (64 °F).
